AW Group Commercial
Commercial — Office
Hyderabad · Commercial — Office
A commercial building that refuses to be a glass box.
Drive down almost any commercial stretch in Hyderabad and the skyline repeats itself — glass, more glass, and the occasional attempt at difference that never quite commits. AW Group wanted a building that would actually stop people mid-commute.

The Brief
The client wanted a premium office building that broke away entirely from the glass-curtain-wall typology dominating the market — something distinctive and characterful enough to communicate permanence and identity, while staying commercially sound and genuinely rooted in Hyderabad’s own architectural character.
The Design Response
Taking a cue from Hyderabad’s own Maria Boto building, we built the facade around brick and arches — a vocabulary that reaches into the city’s architectural heritage while still reading as entirely current. Tall arched openings anchor a grand ground-floor entrance, while circular oculus windows punctuate the brick facade above, layered with dark vertical fins that add real depth and shifting shadow through the day. A rooftop green band softens the building’s crown and gives the skyline a genuinely biophilic edge.
Project Highlights
- Grand arched openings create a monumental yet human-scaled street presence, drawing directly on Hyderabad’s own architectural heritage.
- Circular oculus windows and dark vertical fins layer texture and shadow across the brick facade, changing character through the day.
- A rooftop green band softens the building’s crown and brings a biophilic touch to the commercial skyline.
The Impact
For the people who’ll work in and visit this building, brick and arches create a warmer, more human-scaled environment than the cold glass towers typical of the category — with deep arched openings bringing in generous daylight while the brick mass itself moderates heat. For the client, the distinctive identity is designed to do real commercial work: standing out to tenants who want more than another anonymous glass address, in a market saturated with exactly that.
Built to Last
Brick’s natural thermal mass reduces heat gain and moderates interior temperatures without mechanical intervention. Deep arched recesses and vertical fins shade the glazing behind them, and rooftop greenery helps counter the urban heat island effect while improving the view from every floor above it.
Proof that a commercial building can be bold, warm, and deeply rooted in place — brick and arches over another glass box, built to age as a landmark.
Client Feedback
“We wanted maximum area but we also wanted a development we'd be proud of. Archi Wing gave us both — the numbers work and the project looks like something. The podium idea was the turning point.”
